Projects Abroad Volunteers Feed The Homeless In Cape Town
On Friday 25th January 2013 the Projects Abroad Human Rights Office in South Africa organised an outing to feed homeless people living in Cape Town.
Along with the volunteers, the Projects Abroad staff, including Shuan Solomon – the Social Justice Coordinator for the Human Rights Office – prepared delicious curry and rice. Volunteers from all around the world then distributed the food among the homeless people of Cape Town who were all hugely appreciative of their warm meal.
Events like this are essential in the local communities of Cape Town and this not only shows the great work that the Projects Abroad Human Rights Office is doing but also highlights how much our volunteers are valued and needed.
This day provided an unforgettable experience for the Projects Abroad volunteers who had the opportunity to meet some amazing characters and to hear of their thought-provoking stories.
A big thank you should be given to everyone who took part in this occasion and you can hear from the volunteers themselves in the video above.
